I am very pleased to be part of the the annual Purity Bridge Breast Awareness Event. Every year the Purity Bridge Clinic in Tunbridge Wells holds a breast awareness evening in October – Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This year it is being held in Cripps offices on Mount Ephraim in Tunbridge Wells. Three surgeons take part – me, Marc Pacifico (Consultant Plastic Surgeon) and Haresh Devalia (Consultant Breast Surgeon). We speak about warning signs to look for in a breast for breast cancer, what happens if you have breast cancer, the options for breast cancer reconstruction and restorative breast surgery.
The event is free and open to the public. It is ladies only as we have two brave volunteers who will be attending. One goes through a breast exam to show the best way to check your breasts and the other has had breast cancer and breast reconstructive surgery and will be telling her story. As breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in women, we feel strongly about promoting breast awareness and regular breast self examination.
There will be some bubbles and nibbles to enjoy at the start and a raffle on the night with proceeds going to Breast Cancer Care.
We would love to see as many women as possible attend! RSVP to the Purity Bridge team on firstname.lastname@example.org or 01892 536 960.
